It was Children in Need on Friday 17th November. We’re proud to have joined others around the UK in raising money for this wonderful charity. Read here to find out how we took part:
Children in Need is a charity that aims to offer every child in the UK a safe, happy, and secure childhood. For these reasons, they hold an important place in our hearts. Last Friday, children and staff celebrated Children in Need by dressing up in Pudsey costumes, something spotty or pyjamas!
We are proud to have joined schools across the Forward Education Trust in making a huge difference to children’s lives in our City and the rest of the UK. Across Birmingham, Children in Need supports many local charities: The Open Doors Project, Square Peg Activities, Big Top Musical Adventures and many more.
Throughout the day on Friday, children at Leycroft Academy took part in a competition. Each class had a different Pudsey picture to decorate anyway they wanted to. From bandanas to t-shirts. They all did a fantastic job!
We also had activities set up in the hall in line with this year’s theme of sport.
We had a SPOTacular day of fundraising, raising a total of £141.50!
We’d like to say a huge thank you to our pupil’s families and staff for all your kind donations and support for this wonderful cause.
